of the Pharaohs |

Curse of the Pharaohs is an role playing game, an adventure game and a puzzle game all rolled into one. It’s not the type of game you can finish in a single afternoon. I would be surprised if you could finish this game in a month!
The game starts out where he calls “Training Day”. It might sound redundant, but believe me, you need to go through training. During this first level, you’ll learn how to move, how to shoot, jump, kill, dig and even build. It’s not your typical day in the neighborhood. Just before each task, a screen will pop up with instructions. Read the tips and follow them to the letter. You’ll make it. As a matter of fact, you might want to save your game after each task just to make it a little easier on yourself.
You will need to program at least three buttons to use for the game. One for jump, action and inventory. You can program one for the menu, but pressing the screen will do the same thing, so it’s not really necessary. In the lower right hand corner is your inventory button. You can press that to pop up the inventory list. If you hit it accidentally, you’ll need to pick the hand (or another tool) to resume the game. There are plenty of tools to choose from. You can use the shovel to dig, hatchet to chop, gun to shoot, dynamite to blow things up, etc.
Don’t worry about running out of levels to play. There are thirty massive levels to keep you busy, and I mean MASSIVE! These aren’t your short little levels, they seem to go on and on. The puzzles are definitely challenging enough to keep you thinking. Oh.. and watch out for the snakes (they don’t move) and the scorpions (they do move). With all the mummies and creatures trying to kill you, it might seem a bit dull. However, don’t forget the curse. Oh yes… the curse. It wouldn’t be named “Curse of the Pharaohs” for nothing. The pharaoh will lay a curse on you and you’ll only have so much time to break the curse before you join the undead.
Curse of the Pharaohs is a fun and exciting game to play. Be sure to save often and keep playing. You’ll find more puzzles than you thought were possible. The game sells for $9.99 and will keep you busy for a long time to come. It’s available for color ARM / X-Scale (running 2002/2003), MIPS and SH3 processors. The game occupies 2.4 MB of RAM for storage. You can try it or buy it here. The demo consists the training level and a full version of level two. Check out the curse! Special
